Additionally, she was crowned Miss Barbados USA for 1988-1989, leaving a lasting impression through her storytelling.

MY Story
My inspiration stems from personal experiences, the life stories of others, and the world around me. Influences like Jane Eyre, Shakespeare, and Maya Angelou have shaped my love for literature. I cherish moments when books successfully transition to the big screen while keeping their storylines intact. Inspiration often strikes unexpectedly, leading to works that evolve far beyond their initial spark.
One of the most fulfilling aspects of my work is hearing from readers. Many are stunned by the raw authenticity of my characters and find themselves hooked after the first chapter. Most finish the book within days—an experience I also have when revisiting my work. I believe the diverse cast of characters in Gezebel makes it fun and relatable for everyone.
For years, the idea of Gezebel lived in my mind. Life’s demands always came first, but eventually, I found the quiet and peace needed to let the story flow. Ideas would often wake me in the middle of the night, compelling me to jot them down before they disappeared. Amazingly, I completed the manuscript in just two weeks. I had no specific goal in mind other than fulfilling my desire to write my first book.
Gezebel is lovingly dedicated to my beloved children.
